The display PCB allows for customization by cutting parts away. See to the right a board cut/broken in 3 section.

The section to the right hand side is section for the buttons. For information on how to connect the buttons even without this small part of PCB see here…..

At the picture to the left it is shown how the PCB is used in a sandwich configuration.  The copper patterns may lay back to back with only a space of 5 mm between them. The picture shows a configuration with large 5 mm bolts and a space of over 12 mm.  So it can be done much neater with 3 mm bolts and only 5 mm air gap.   The purpose of the picture is only to demonstrate the possibility.

See that the wires from pin 2 and 3 from the supply connector of the display PCB are cut away.   This to prevent short circuits.

Dimensions of the sandwich configuration as shown to the right :

Minimum PCB distance 8mm

Board size 129 x 49 mm

Component thickness display side 16mm

Overall maximum thickness 39 mm
