· It all works but I can’t access tracks above no x.
You swapped a disc without reading in the new
TOC, (table of contents). The player still navigates with the previous TOC and therefore the access to the track you want is not allowed. Actually the other accesses will not work very well. Error messages may occur. The player may even start to run very fast backwards.

To read a new TOC.
Use the lid switch. ( just tact it)
Go back to standby and start again.
Switch the power off and back on.

· The disc button on the remote control does not function.  Correct. In the V1.3 software the button for disc is not implemented as it was intended as open/close button for tray loaders.

· Sometimes the player does not want to start or the light in the display does not go on.   In this case you may have used large capacitors after the regulators.  The regulator does see a low impedance at start up and may go into the short circuit  prevention mode. In this mode it switches off. No harm done but no music as well. Temperature is a factor in this problem.  So, sometimes the player will work and sometimes not. Make it reliable.

· Suddenly during normal operation the message OPEN appears on the display. The lid switch sensor is picking up a spike and thinks that the lid suddenly was opened manually. If you do not use a lid switch remove long wires mounted to the PCB. If you use a lid switch mount over the switch, close to the switch a capacitor of 100 nF. ( see also other items in this listing )

· If I jump to a track I miss the first seconds of sound.
The jump action has not taken place the correct way. In case of a very strong 9V supply at the top of the specification range,  overshoot while jumping may have taken place. There was to much energy in the jump. (Overshoot situation)  Further the weight of the clamp may be to high (
actually the inertia of the clamp). After a jump the speed of the disc needs to be adjusted. If this takes longer then expected, the mute is released after the begin of the music. (Undershoot situation)

· I want to have a pause button. Is that possible?  Yes and even simple. See the table

· There is a black dot on the display. ( In the right hand corner) Correct, it should be like this. The dot consists of a powder used in the production process. The dot does not obstruct a visible part of the display. If the display leaks and the vacuum breaks then this dot becomes grey/white. So nothing to worry about as long as it looks black.   Use a grey plastic to tune the darkness of the display window. The plastic should be put behind the current red window.  A foil type used as wrapper will even do. The dark spot is outside the visual area. On this page you see the display behind the window. Note the black spot. Double click to enlarge. On purpose the window is kept bright so that you can see what is behind the window. Normally you would darken it.

· I want to use an X03 board with the an older model of the pro series?
TENTlabs has various types of XO3 boards. Some versions cover as well the CDM12-industrial as the CD-PRO. Those units worked with the CD-6 and CD-7 chipset. The explanations on the DIY-high-END website are only applicable to the product CD-PRO2LF and, because the same clock and CD-10 chip was used,  as well to the CD-PRO2.  There are no pictures shown for the CD-PRO2 situation. Deduct what you need from the given pictures. There is enough information shown.
It is not recommended to upgrade the older versions as additional problems may arise. Note that the upgrade is irreversible.

· I get the message OPEN on the display.  Your Lid switch line is activated or the DSA connector going into the CD-PRO2LF is not well inserted.
